ahhh... an end of year feet-up-cup-of-tea moment...

I have to say I'm very sorry to toucan lovers such as TONY... my internet at home decided to kark it and so I haven't posted anything in ages!!!

well... here are some treats to round out the end of the year. Some wonderful animations and short arty-filmy things that caught my heart. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Huzzah and bless. x x x x x x xx x

SUPAKITCH & KORALIE - VĂ„RLDSKULTUR MUSEET GĂ–TEBORG from elr°y on Vimeo.

Wall painting by Supakitch + Koralie

I am a Forest hq from Alex Schulz on Vimeo.

Alex Schulz's animated short "I am a Forest" tells the story of two forest critters ... created entirely from paper, the story itself is pretty cute... If a satellite falls in the forest, does anybody hear?

Subcarpati - Am crescut pe la Romana from z00x on Vimeo.

The film's creators, Ionut Negrila and Mihai Calota, say “The story makes more sense if you understand the lyrics." I don't but I still think its rad.... they made it with NO budget and it invloves 57 stencils and over 5,000 photographs.

INTO THE COSMOS - Architeq/Chopsy from Chopsy on Vimeo.

This is collaboration between director/animator Chopsy and Bristol beatsmith Architeq (Tirk Recordings)... The combination of stop-frame, pixelation, live action, and time lapse animation is accompanied with music and sound effects by Architeq. (This is dedicated to my man Monk Fly... coz he's got heaps of records.)

Standing in Silence

Kiwi electronic composer Rhian Sheehan creates soundscapes using ambient tunes and pieces of environmental field recordings collected on his travels.

"Hands" from Chopsy on Vimeo.

Another one from Chopsy... I just thought this one was kind of funny.

Ok Go - Last leaf
L.A.- based OK Go ... features ace animation art from Geoff McFetridge. Created entirely from images burnt in toast, the stop-motion piece even has lovely guitar trees. mmm.

Beat13 / Lucy McLauchlan - Fame Festival 2009. from Beat13 on Vimeo.

And this one is an old favourite from Lucy McLauchlan.. I just love it.
